424 Unity Simulation is an engineering tool as well as a learning platform

Before setting a new lap record at Nürburgring and racing at Le Mans 24h, PERRINN developers have created a virtual simulation allowing you to drive 424 on the most challenging track in the world: Nürburgring Nordschleife.

This simulation tool will help PERRINN contributors to validate technical choices made on 424 design. The influence of design or set-up modifications on performance and even reliability (behaviour of the battery for example) can be evaluated before any 424 prototype is built.

There is also a wide range of underlying objectives :

  • Create a robust platform for engineering/driving challenges around the world.

  • Establishing partnerships with institutions, firms, academies and create a network of infrastructures like Sim Rigs for research and entertainment.

  • Communicate about what we are doing and invite more talents and partners to experience 424 for thermselves.

  • Have some fun enabling our community of members and every player in the world to drive 424 from home even before it has hit the track in real life.

A complete virtual racing experience

Based on Vehicle Physics Pro, an advanced simulation kit for Unity software, P424 Unity Simulation is the result of years of development. Thanks to a physics running at 500Hz, dynamic and aerodynamic behaviour of the car as well as tyre response and power unit are accurately modelled to deliver the best driving experience. A whole range of data is available at a glance thanks to an exhaustive telemetry system with more than 120 channels.

424 Unity Simulation remains absolutely handy thanks to a very user-friendly interface. The simulation supports any rig and steering wheel. Once at the wheel of 424, you can directly compare your lap time with the Porsche 919 Evo one (Nürburgring all time record) and the one performed by our official PERRINN simulator driver. Don't worry if you are not as fast as them yet: the integrated timing system will help you find where to improve. Switch your sim rig on and prove your abilities!

For those who do not have a steering wheel or do not feel comfortable with driving such a high-performance prototype: activate the auto-pilot and enjoy a ride aboard the autonomous P424. If you are attentive enough and play with the various camera perspectives available, you should be able to observe the active aerodynamics system working on the car. Send us your best pictures!
